Sizes and measurements
How do I find my size?
Every product page at ninetyvintage carries flat measurements in centimetres alongside the size, taken with the garment lying flat. The most reliable method is to take a piece you already own that fits the way you like, lay it flat, measure the same points and compare. Two minutes with a tape measure beat any size chart, because a label from the 90s does not mean what a label means today.
Does a 90s size L equal a modern size L?
No. Measured across more than 1,000 tops listed at ninetyvintage, label sizes turn out to mean: S is 47–53 cm pit to pit and 64 cm long; M is 51–56 cm and 66 cm; L is 54–60 cm and 69 cm; XL is 57–62 cm and 71 cm; XXL is 60–67 cm and 73 cm. The ranges overlap, so two pieces both labelled L can be two modern sizes apart. That is why every product page carries its own measurements rather than relying on the label.
How does ninetyvintage measure its garments?
ninetyvintage measures every garment lying flat, in centimetres. On tops, length runs from the shoulder seam straight down to the hem, and width is measured pit to pit, across the chest from armpit to armpit. On trousers, length runs along the outer leg from waistband to hem, and width is measured across the waistband on one side only — double it for the full circumference. Which size does a product page show — the label size or the fit?
The size on a ninetyvintage product page is the size the piece actually fits today. Where a vintage label differs noticeably from how the garment wears, the fit is what gets listed rather than the number printed on the tag — a jacket tagged XL that wears like an L is listed as an L. The original label is not hidden: it is shown in the product photos, and the page carries a separate fit line stating how the piece wears. The flat measurements in centimetres on the same page are the way to check both against something you already own.
Can I ask for a measurement that is not listed?

ninetyvintage accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro, plus Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal and Klarna. Depending on the country you order from, iDEAL, Bancontact, BLIK, EPS or MobilePay may also appear at checkout. Payment is processed by Shopify Payments, PayPal and Klarna; the shop never receives complete card or bank details.
What does shipping cost?
Shipping at ninetyvintage is calculated by parcel size. Within Germany it costs €4.90, rising to €5.90 for larger orders and no further; orders from €75 ship free within Germany. International shipping starts at €13.90 and rises with the size of the parcel — as a guide, EU countries from €13.90, Switzerland and the United Kingdom from €19.90, Iceland and Norway from €20.90, Canada, Japan and the United States from €29.90, Australia and New Zealand from €35.90. How long does delivery take?
ninetyvintage dispatches parcels one to two times a week. Counting from dispatch rather than from the order, delivery within Germany takes one to three working days on average, and international parcels usually take up to ten working days and can take longer. Tracking arrives by e-mail or SMS as soon as the parcel leaves.
Does ninetyvintage ship internationally?
ninetyvintage ships from Germany to the EU, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Iceland, Norway, Canada, Japan, the United States, Australia and New Zealand.
